Selection and Structure Design of PTFE Laminated Fabric

1. The fabric is suitable for the fabric and lining of laminated composite fabrics, and woven fabrics and knitted fabrics can be used according to different uses. The materials used can be natural fibers such as cotton and wool, or pure or blended fabrics made of chemical fibers such as polyester and nylon. As the outer fabric, woven fabric is preferably used. The fabric should be finished with water repellency. Both the fabric and the lining should have a certain density to prevent the adhesive from leaking. In order to control the total weight of the laminated fabric, the fabric and lining should be made of fine denier or superfine polyester or nylon. It is best to use warp knitted fabric for knitted lining. The lining adopts functional fabrics such as camouflage, flame retardant, anti-static, oil and water repellent, easy to decontaminate, and acid and alkali resistant according to the requirements of use.

2. The porous PTFE membrane formed by different processing techniques can have different micropores. According to different products, porous PTFE membranes are divided into 3 types: high waterproof and low moisture permeability, medium waterproof and medium moisture permeability and low waterproof and high moisture permeability to balance the contradiction between waterproof and moisture permeability in different applications.

The structure design of PTFE laminated fabric weakens the PTFE structure due to the micropores. It can be used to coat the back of the fabric or sandwich the PTFE microporous membrane between two textile materials like a sandwich to ensure that the membrane is not destroyed by friction. Two-layer composite can use lining and film composite or fabric and film composite, which is suitable for civilian sportswear and cold-proof clothing; The three-layer composite is to composite the fabric, film and lining together, which improves the wear resistance and is suitable for army combat uniforms and labor protective clothing.
