PTFE Waterproof and Moisture Permeable Laminated Fabric

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) waterproof and moisture permeable laminated composite fabric is a kind of high-tech PTFE microporous membrane, which is composed of knitted fabric, plain fabric, non-woven fabric and other common textile fabrics by lamination technology. It can effectively achieve the effect of waterproof and moisture permeability, and can be used to make protective clothing for various occasions, so as to meet the comfort and protective performance of people. Compared with high-density fabric and coated fabric, it has obvious technical advantages and fully displays the characteristics of the times of differentiation and functionalization. It is the main development direction of waterproof and moisture permeable fabric at present.

1. The pore size, pore size distribution and pore opening rate of PTFE micro porous membrane directly affect the waterproof, moisture permeability and wind insulation properties of the composite laminated fabric. According to the different products, PTFE micro porous membrane can balance the needs of waterproof and moisture permeability in different applications.

2. The fabric and lining can be made of woven fabric or knitted fabric according to different uses, or non-woven fabric or flakes. The fabrics used can be natural fibers such as cotton and wool, or pure or blended fabrics of polyester, nylon and other chemical fibers. As the outer fabric, woven fabric is preferably used. In order to improve the water resistance, the surface fabric should be finished with water repellency, and the finishing effect should reach level 4 or higher. In order to control the total weight of the laminated fabric, the fabric and lining should be made of fine denier, super fine denier polyester or nylon as much as possible. According to usage requirements, the fabric can also be made of camouflage, and can be flame-retardant, anti-static, oil- and water-repellent, easy to decontaminate, acid and alkali resistant fabrics. Both the fabric and the lining fabric should have a certain density to prevent the adhesive from leaking.

3. The laminated fabric structure can adopt different structural design and composite layers according to the needs of the end use. The two-layer composite can be a combination of fabric and film, using a live structure. It can also be a composite of lining and film, with active surface structure, which is easy to wash and suitable for civilian sportswear and cold-proof clothing. The three-layer composite is a composite of fabric, film and lining. Although it feels a little harder, it can improve abrasion resistance and is suitable for labor protective clothing. Four-layer or multi-layer composite can increase the functionality of the laminated fabric, such as gas resistance layer or liquid gas resistance layer anti-toxic materials, flakes, and far-infrared cotton thermal insulation materials.
